What does having a 13 & 14 SEER mean?

NuTone air conditioners, heat pumps and matched NuTone air handlers, are measured by a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER). The higher the SEER rating the more efficiently your unit operates. Increased efficiency translates into savings in utility costs.

A single stage air handler is sized to cool your home on the hottest days of the year. It delivers 100% of its capacity at all times of operation.

Air handlers can also provide heat when installed with the optional NuTone plug-in heater strips. These units are perfect in climates where you need to take the “chill off” first thing in the morning or late at night. The flexible design allows your NuTone dealer to install this air handler in various configurations. With plug-in components, and front circuit breaker accessibility, the NuTone air handler can be quickly serviced.
