Multi-Stage, Variable-Speed Technology. The Total Package.
Unlike split systems, where heating and cooling units
are separated indoors and out, packaged units perform
both functions in a "single package." Depending
on structural limitations and available space, packaged
systems can be installed on the roof, at ground level,
or in the attic. Still, all packaged systems are not alike.
A packaged heating and cooling system with
variable-speed blower provides extra efficiency, reliability
and comfort. Four-Stage Heating and Two-Stage Cooling feature operates at lower capacity during mild days, then full capacity during harsher days. Because they idle down to a reduced capacity the NuTone iHybrid package systems provide better comfort and perform quieter than a standard packaged system. Longer cycles improve air circulation, minimizing temperature swings to a couple of degrees, while reducing hot and cold spots.
Employing patented GE ECMTM variable-speed technology, the blower delivers constant
air flow thanks to a programmable electronic controller.
It adjusts in real time to meet capacity automatically
compensating for reduced duct volume, dirty air filters,
zoning changes, obstructed supply register, etc. So the
entire system functions more efficiently for more-even
temperatures, better indoor air quality, precise humidity
control and reduced energy consumption.
Two Stages of Operation
Two-stage operation means the unit can operate at a reduced capacity on mild days and full capacity on harsher ones: It's like having two systems in one. And because of the lower capacity, this unit operates more quietly and provides greater comfort. |
